TechOTD built Legal Drishti, a legal document processing platform. It takes the paperwork a matter arrives as, makes it readable and searchable, and then connects the user to legal professionals who handle that kind of work. The research happens first, so the conversation with an expert starts from an informed position.
Legal Drishti is a legal document processing platform built around two steps that usually happen slowly and separately: understanding what a document actually says, and finding a professional who genuinely handles that kind of matter. The platform does the first so the second starts from something concrete.
Building a legal document platform meant solving a reading problem before a matching problem. Legal documents arrive as scans and PDFs with no structure, so the first job was processing them into something a person or a system can actually search. On top of that sits the directory: professionals categorised by the kind of matter they take, so a user is routed to someone relevant rather than to whoever is listed first. We built the two halves to work as one flow, because a platform that only reads documents leaves you no further forward, and a directory with no context about your matter is just a phone book.
TechOTD delivered a platform that handles legal documents end to end, from upload through to the point where a qualified professional picks the matter up.
Uploaded legal paperwork is processed into something searchable, rather than sitting as a stack of PDFs nobody can query.
A matter can be understood before a professional is engaged, so time is not spent explaining the basics.
Legal professionals listed by the kind of matter they handle, so users reach someone relevant to their situation.
Document, understanding and consultation sit in a single path rather than three disconnected steps.
